Great Read, and not just about Sex

I found this a very easy to read book packed with wisdom about relationships and sex. There's a lot of insight into what Vera and Steve share ... if you take the time to absorb it. I've taken classes about the male/female dynamic, and have seen some of this material before, but this time, I understood some of the points in a new way. I suggest it for anyone in a relationship as they share some tips we all can benefit from!

I highly recommend it, and working with them. Their experience has helped me expand the pleasure in my life.

This book is easy to read yet has great life-impacting information. i just loved it and has made my life musch more fun and easier to relate with my boyfriend. Our sex is way better and we have given up so many old hang-ups that were preventing us from realizing how much in love we are. the book is worth 10 stars and i recommend it to all my girlfriends.

this is not "power yoga"

If you are planning to purchase this book thinking that it somehow relates to a power yoga regime (as I did) you would be mistaken. Although the book shows some very therapeutic poses, it also shows how to "purify " your nose by using dental floss and how to purge your stomach - not the book I thought it would be. For those fellow fans of power yoga I suggest Birch's Power Yoga - an excellent book.

Authentic ashtanga yoga beginners manual

A beginner who follows the practices in this amazing book will have great rewards in physical health and inner peace. Some of the shat karma practices should be used with an experienced guide but most of the book is easily accessible to any who are motivated enough to practice. You can always make the journey to the Mount Madonna Center for group practice if you are in the neighborhood and want some personal assistance.

I particularly liked the hand mudras for use before and after meditation and found it easy to learn them from the book. Doing them gives me such a beautiful feeling of serenity. The basic pranayama exercises also are very helpful and can be done for a long time without ever needing to go looking for anything more 'advanced'

The sun salutation routine is well illustrated and easy to follow and makes a great daily practice for those with less time for hatha yoga or who want to spend more time doing pranayama and sitting quietly.

Concise and Precise Guide to Kundalini Yoga

This book could well be titled "Chakras, Kundalini and How to Awaken It" as that is the information it contains. A concise guide to the systematic stages of this "open secret." I highly recommend this deceptively simple book to the seeker of spiritual yoga.
I noted one reviewer here was disappointed because this book didn't fit their idea of "power yoga." This struck me as odd since kundalini yoga is very, very powerful. I think perhaps they, like many people, have confused power with perspiration. If you just want to be physically strong, yoga can do that for you. Perhaps one day though you will discover that yoga goes far beyond that. Perhaps then you may find this book helpful in your search for true spritual union.

This little booklet is a series of short helps for a Carmelite's daily meditation. It was developed by a convent of Discalced Carmelite nuns specifically for the Discalced Carmelite Secular community. You don't have to be a Carmelite to profit from these meditations but they provide a wonderful source to enhance your spiritual life. I am happy to see more Carmelite literature becoming available to the Carmelite family--O.C.D. and O. Carm.

Building on Orientalist stereotypes constructed over centuries, the figure of the wily Arab has given rise, at the dawn of the twenty-first century, to the "Islamist" terrorist. In Idols in the East, Suzanne Conklin Akbari explores the premodern background of some of the Orientalist types still pervasive in present-day depictions of Muslims―the irascible and irrational Arab, the religiously deviant Islamist―and about how these stereotypes developed over time.

Idols in the East contributes to the recent surge of interest in European encounters with Islam and the Orient in the premodern world. Focusing on the medieval period, Akbari examines a broad range of texts including encyclopedias, maps, medical and astronomical treatises, chansons de geste, romances, and allegories to paint an unusually diverse portrait of medieval culture. Among the texts she considers are The Book of John Mandeville, The Song of Roland, Parzival, and Dante's Divine Comedy. From them she reveals how medieval writers and readers understood and explained the differences they saw between themselves and the Muslim other.

Looking forward, Akbari also comes to terms with how these medieval conceptions fit with modern discussions of Orientalism, thus providing an important theoretical link to postcolonial and postimperial scholarship on later periods. Far reaching in its implications and balanced in its judgments, Idols in the East will be of great interest to not only scholars and students of the Middle Ages but also anyone interested in the roots of Orientalism and its tangled relationship to modern racism and anti-Semitism.

It was a sweet and sexy love story that was great to read , the romantic leads made me laugh and blush at the same time I enjoy Stephanie's writing I is sexy but never vulgar

if you read books 1 and 2....

If you read books 1 and 2 of the All I Want series, there is no need to purchase 3. The author is one of my favorites and I look forward to her new releases. UNFORTUNATELY It looks as though Ms. Morris took one book and divided into 3 stories for the sale.

The writing in the first half of books of all three of the books is the same. Literally the same words written as the point of view from each heroine of each book. Now I can understand some similarities of a point of view, but the same words? C'mon!

Ms. Morris, please do not take this journey again. Release a single books and price it at a cost for the quailty that it is. Your fans (of which I am one) would appreciate it tremendously and new readers to your writing will not feel suckered.
