Kindle Format HORRIBLE!!!

While I enjoy reading what the author has written, the formatting for the Kindle is horrible!!! There are whole sections that are blocked by pictures preventing you from reading the text. How does this happen without anyone catching it!!!! If skipping whole sections doesn't bother you than go ahead and purchase this book.

Very Good, a few errors

This was a very good book on prophecy and current events. His few errors include: not discerning the current false " sign " gifts ( including tongues ). Given the true gift was unlearned languages; a sign to unbelieving Israel, and ceased in the First century. All the true sign gifts ceased by the time Scripture was finished being inspired.
He says professing Christian church are asleep. By and large this is true. Or have disobeyed the Scriptures in joining with Rome. This is also true.
However, those of us who are true believers belong to denominations that refuse this. I am a true believer, and a Southern Baptist. We have refused to join the ecumenical movement. Spiritual separation from the World, in spiritual activities is commanded.
Further more, our pastor is preparing us to be martyred ( murdered ) for Christ. A true believer will not deny the Lord. And that is part of the true Gospel ( Count the Cost. ).
Besides our excellent pastor, I study the teachings of John MacArthur at [...] He rebukes false teaching and apostates, Scripturally. I believe he is the pastor teacher of his generation.
That said, in these last days, spiritual separation, standing strong, being good Bereans; holiness; and church discipline MUST be practiced.

This is a terrific book. I spent a year in Budapest

This is a terrific book. I spent a year in Budapest, and for 7 months I studied Hungarian there with one of the authors, Erika Solyom. One thing that really impressed me is that I actually heard people on the street and in shops saying things that are in the dialogues (which I memorized). Unlike the standard "ou est la bibliotheque" approach I've encountered in other books I've used (to study French and German) - i.e., teaching you how to speak English in another language - this one helps you speak the way actual Hungarians do. The CDs are extremely helpful in mastering pronunciation, which can be tricky for English speakers (Hungarian has sounds we just don't have). The recorded dialogues feature real Hungarian speakers speaking like real Hungarians in real-life situations. The book also contains a great deal of information about the structure of the language, so you're not just learning to parrot without really understanding what's going on. Hungarian is a difficult but fascinating language. This book is a great way to begin to crack the code. (It also features a screenplay-worthy plot running through the dialogues!) Highly recommended!!

Could be better, but still some use

Pros: This text, unlike the "2500 Solved Problems" gives a nice description of what's going on before the problem sets so you have a reference point before jumping straight into calculations. A nice reference for extra problems if your homework assignments are slim and few. Great for getting a little extra practice before an exam.

Cons: Like the "2500 Solved Problems" text, this also uses BG units way too much. We can all complete a unit conversion, Schaum, so let's focus on the concepts and cut it out with this insanity. If your engineering program emphasizes BG units, by all means buy this text. If you almost exclusively use SI units, you're only going to be interested in doing about half of the problems (of which there are only a few to begin with). A lot of the problems recommend MathCad for solving, which I don't use (nor am I interested in purchasing it just to do problems from a supplemental reference text).

Old book, new cover.

Very similar to my first edition; even the intense use of english units.
The material covered is standard; since the third? edition there is a chapter about
compressible flow.
It is a complement to a standard fluid mechanics book.
It is cheap and worths the price.
