Good read, looking forward to book four with improvements.

Do not purchase this novel if you find grammatical errors to be annoying. For the price of the book, the author should have used an editor but did not as far as I can tell. The story is pretty much spot on to what you would expect for a LitRPG genre book with additional adventures to develop the MC. Unfortunately, the author has downplayed one of the leading characters in a manner that I find to have caused the character to become less developed and more one-dimensional (Fen) while at the same time increasing the importance of the character in the overall storyline. I assume this was done in order for her to not take over the story entirely. I personally dislike the dark twist that was taken with her personality but see the possibility of what the author presented.

The story is still engaging and retains my interest. I look forward to installment four but if the quality doesn't improve soon, I will stop purchasing the books due to the high price versus very low quality of editing. A four dollar book should be free of most grammatical and spelling errors, not chock full of them.

End Online is potentially a great story. I pray the author's storytelling skill "levels up" in time to do it justice. Here is a writer who still has one foot in fan fiction, yet has taken an innovative concept, partially filled out what could be fascinating characters, and placed the meandering, seemingly plottless tale in a game environment heavily reminiscent of WOW. The main character, named "Lost" within the game, captivated me in Installment one - living in a future dystopia he was injured in an industrial accident and paralyzed from the waist down. The first installment (IMO the best of the three) partially develops this character, showing glimpses of a 3 dimensional personality - enough to allow me to connect with him. Sadly, installment 3 provides barely a glimpse of the flesh and blood version of Lost. His virtual equivalent provides a detailed, endlessly detailed, obsessively detailed account of his leveling up in WOW clone game environment. The first 15% of the installment (notice I avoid the noun "book"?) describes Lost and his companions battling their way through a dungeon. Sigh. Several potentially promising subplots meander, disappear, reappear, and seem to fade away as new quests take precedence and culminate in a patched together ending. Thank you Mr. Wolven, for responding to your readers' requests and obtaining editors. Their efforts are evident in the decrease of misspelled words and improvement in basic grammar. A bit stale

I had this book half way finished for a long time in my library. I had greatly enjoyed the first two, but gradualy lost interest as I was reading the third one. I felt the plot in the thrid one was a bit aimless. The more I read the less I knew where it was going or if it was going anywhere at all. Usualy in these situations, the reader's intersest is sustained by attractive characterization, but The MC started to act in a way that always bores me: acting even more emotionaly naive than usual, and choosing to turn off his brain too often. It was cute in the beginning, but it became a bit stale by the thrid book. I greatly enjoy reading books in this genre, so I forced myself to finish it as the fourth book is now out, and I like many of the elements of this universe. 3 stars for me.

It is hard to justify spending $25 on an audio CD, but this is one instance where it is entirely worthwhile. Not just a page-turning book, the dramatization is excellent, and has me sitting in the car when I get home so I can keep listening. With the virtues of friendship, loyalty, wisdom, kindness, humility, courage, peaceful, lion-heartedness all bundled together in this amazing little book. It is decidedly Christian, but worth the while of anyone who wants to hear a great story.

This is a great and tremendous system, delivering research, understanding and successful treatments that unquestionably alleviate disease and conditions on a broad basis. But, this system is not perfect and is not without isolated failings.
HBOT cannot be packaged into a pill, has minimal manufacturing economies, and high ongoing service costs and high overhead, while associated with nominal patient volumes, and nominal billing rates. These economics have long held back this very promising technology (HBO) and its successful applications. Further, double blind studies are virtually impossible - patients perceive pressure changes, or lack thereof, technicians are required to implement pressurization, and oxygen delivery systems may not be able to deliver less than 100% oxygen.
Ironically, HBO can power pharmaceutical and surgical applications to higher levels of treatment success bringing cures where partial successes were the norms. (Chapters 9, 13 14, 15, 23, 24, 27, 33).
Controversially, HBO has demonstrated good clinical success on incurable diseases and conditions, including Crones Disease, stroke, CP, MS, and others. While modern medicine debates the etiologies and optimal treatment protocols, curative HBO applications can be given today. These applications (esp. Crones, and MS) can further illuminate etiologies therefore, furthering and accelerating alternative and supportive therapies.
HBOT supports diabetic wound healing, preventing amputations; enhances infectious disease therapies, saving lives and reducing hospital stays; is used for various poisonings; can provide accelerated surgical recoveries (up to 30-40% faster); and can ameliorate strokes and brain injuries by up to 40% when applied within 4 hours of injury.
Medical Physics
Simply, under pressure, oxygen dissolves in blood serum, and therefore can diffuse to poorly supported disease areas, or injuries. Further, HBO acts as an immuno-suppressant, relieving acutely injured tissues of oedema, preventing further injuries (if applied on a timely basis), as well as supporting the natural healing process.
Angiogenesis occurs within 15 - 20 minutes of HBO. It is not known if angiogenesis is initiated by the increased pressure effects, or by the oxygen dissolved in the serum. However, angiogenesis is felt to be a factor supporting accelerated healing in injuries, chronic wounds, and surgical recoveries. Further, little is known about these growth factors and their involvement with healing.
Neurological Applications
The chapters on neurological applications are some of the most significant in this text and should be required reading for all neurologists because they hold the greatest single promise to modern healthcare. These chapters are steeped with extensive (and largely ignored) animal and human research papers, extensive clinical studies with supportive SPECT scans and associated clinical outcomes.
The brain remains the final frontier of science and brain injuries are the most destructive and expensive to society (#1 killer of children and teenagers, #1 birth defect, #2 killer for adults).
We do not understand the brain's response to injury, or disease, much less detail its response to treatments and recoveries. But, we can accept the overwhelming clinical observations made by trained physicians world-wide of positive outcomes to HBO when applied to brain injuries, and cerebral palsy patients.
Hopefully, one day we will be able to manufacture a drug, or drug regimen that can replace HBO treatments for brain injuries. However, that day is probably 50 years from today. Therefore, today, we need to apply HBO to brain injuries, note the clinical outcomes, optimize the treatments, and develop ancillary supportive therapies.
Diagnostic Imaging is propelling objective clinical research for neurological applications of HBO by demonstrating underlying metabolic activity changes in brain tissues with HBO. Clinical observations significantly correlate with SPECT scan changes. (SPECT using HMPAO have become the scan of choice.) Chapter 18 written by Dr.'s Neubauer and Harch provide an excellent foundation for understanding and support for using HBO for brain injuries and CP.

layman it will open your eyes to what hbo can do( and

Great resource

I recently started a small hyperbaric clinic, and am at the beginning of a steep learning curve relative to HBOT. This book has helped me and others I come in contact with understand treatment and treatment issues for many of the conditions that hyperbarics is currently being utilized. The chapters on specific conditions are thorough, well-annotated, and specific. This is the first place I go for information. I'm grateful this is updated periodically as the research base in growing rapidly. I highly recommend this book. Don't be deterred by the price, it's worth it.

About the Author
A consulting engineer residing in Montgomery, texas, Heinz. P. Bloch has held machinery-oriented staff and line positions with Exxon affiliates in the United States, Italy, Spain, England, The Netherlands, and Japan. His career spanned several decades prior to his 1986 retirement as Exxon Chemical's regional machinery specialist for the USA. Since his retirement from Exxon, he has been in demand throughout the world as a consultant and trainer in the areas of failure avoidance, root cause failure identification, and reliability improvement. Mr. Bloch is the author/co-author of thirteen books and over 200 other publications on subjects related to machinery reliability and failure avoidance. He is the Reliability and Equipment Editor of Hydrocarbon Processing magazine and has served as chair of the annual conference program for Hydrocarbon Processing's Process Plant Reliability Conference for a number of years.

I am a rotating equipment specialist, and consider this a very thorough book on all aspects of reciprocating compressors, from the general design, installation, and maintenance point of view. What sets this book apart from others is that the author is a reliability specialist, and many of the hidden details that can lead to failures are pointed out. In addition, the book is extremely well illustrated with large clear pictures and drawings.

When a book is written by Bloch you know it is going to be practical and useful. When Heinz teams up with a receprocating compressor expert like John Hoefner you know the information will be unique. There are not that many books on reciprocating compressors, their operation, maintenance and troubleshooting, and this book bings it all together. This is the kind of book I needed at the start of my career when I was working for an engine builder. It will help new as well as seasoned vererans. Well done Heinz and John.

I like the book because of the clear precision with which it expresses the results it eventually arrives at, the straightforward ways in which it illustrates the use of these results, and the sets of nontrivial end-chapter exercises that provide a rich opportunity to verity one s own grasp of the methods to which one is introduced in the text. --Am. The exposition is of high quality throughout and is supplemented by over 80 figures. In addition, the exercises are excellent and form an essential part of the text, although they tend to be algebraically laborious. I would recommend that anyone using this book for self study also acquire Lagrangian and Hamiltonian Mechanics: Solutions to the Exercises as this book often provides efficient tricks for solving these types of problems that are good to know.

One of the outstanding features of this book are some of its supplementary discussions such as the one on the Electromagnetic Field and field momentum in chapter three, the discussion of time dilation in general relativity and the path integral formulation of quantum mechanics in chapter four, the connections between Hamilton-Jacobi mechanics, geometrical optics and quantum mechanics in chapter 8, and essentially all of chapter 10.

A few of the things I didn't care for were the occasional shady handling of infinitesimals and differential forms, and the odd omission of any mention of chaos in chapter 10.

Regardless though, diligent study of this book will definitely bring your classical mechanics up to the level where it needs to be for grad school.

Very Brief

We are using this book in a third-year undergraduate course in classical mechanics. I find it alright for an in-class course, but I would definetely not recommend it to anyone planning to study by him/herself. The text simply is not made for that.
Judging by what I see in other books, this text has a fairly thorough coverage.
It is written VERY short and you want to have a pen and paper ready to understand the analysis. Once you do that, it should be alright.
The problems are of the very-short-but-sometimes-algebraically-intense kind, the class record being at 52 (!) hand written pages for three problems in chapter 6. But they are possible and, aside from the algrebra, not all that difficult.

Good and short: really good on field momentum.

I read physics books in my spare time, and what I've found are the best ones are short, good books: if they're short you stand a chance of getting through them, and then if they're good you can pick up the essentials of the subject quickly.
This book is both. If you're looking for a primary textbook, you might be looking for something different, but for a reference to the concepts it's short and sweet: eg. what are canonical transformations, why are they defined the way they are and what is their importance.
What's particularly mind-blowing is the 5 page discussion of field momentum. That's the qA term in the hamiltonian for a charge q in a magnetic field (vector potential A). This form of the hamiltonian always puzzled me: Calkin explains the meaning of the qA term beautifully. The book is worth getting for this alone.
